Human Threads Counselling
Where every thread of your story matters.
“One of the most basic and powerful human needs is that of being seen and being heard.”
– Ryan Holland
My Approach
With 48 years of my own lived experience, including adverse life events, I bring a heart-led and deeply compassionate approach to my counselling work. These experiences have informed my practice, strengthened my empathy and guided me towards supporting others through their own experiences.
As a person centred counseller, I support people who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, personal and professional relationship challenges and general mental health concerns. I am here to help you explore the threads of your experiences without judgement and only with compassion. By creating a safe and secure space for you, you can begin to move, step by step, towards making and sustaining the conscious, therapeutic change you are seeking.
The “threads of being human” are the fundamental qualities that shape our shared experience. They are interwoven, at times tangled and at times strong, and together they form the tapestry of who we are.
I believe that healing happens through connection, understanding, and felt safety. My work is grounded in compassion and curiosity, recognising that each person’s story is complex, valid, and worthy of care.

In Person Counselling
In-person counselling offers a grounded, confidential space where we can build a strong therapeutic relationship through presence, safety, and human connection. Working face to face allows space for deeper emotional attunement, helping you feel truly seen, heard, and supported.

Online Counselling
Online counselling provides a flexible and accessible way to engage in therapy from the comfort of your own space. The person-centred approach remains the same—offering warmth, empathy, and non-judgement—while meeting you wherever you are.

Walk & Talk Counselling
Walk and Talk counselling takes place outdoors, combining therapeutic conversation with gentle movement and connection to nature. Walking side by side can feel less intense than traditional settings, often helping thoughts and emotions flow more freely while supporting both mental and physical wellbeing.
Pay What You Can
I believe that access to counselling should not be limited by financial circumstances. The Pay What You Can option is offered to help make therapeutic support more accessible, recognising that people’s financial situations can change and that seeking support often comes at a vulnerable time.
A small number of Pay What You Can spaces are available and are offered based on individual need and current availability. This option is offered for up to three sessions, followed by a collaborative review between client and counsellor to explore next steps and ongoing support. If this option feels right for you, please get in touch using the contact form to request more information. Your enquiry will be treated with respect, discretion, and without judgement.
